Each painting in this series comes from a line of the song All Creatures of our God and King, which beautifully celebrates the earth.

I saw this scene on a walk and the way the earth recedes into the mist made me consider faith.  Sometimes what we think we need is out of sight and it takes strength to act and continue onward.  The most challenging times for me have also been the moments that I am able to go inward and find light and gratitude. In the midst of hardship I happen upon the reminder of how beautiful life is and whom to thank for it.
