While going through different trials in the past few months, I realized that amongst the darkness, I could always find bits of light.  Even when mourning a terrible loss with a friend, I recognized that I could find brightness, especially while being inspired by the strength that one possesses as they seek peace in a dark time. I wished that I could share some of my soul with this friend, some of my light that I had stored up.  Some of the hope that I have deep within.  I painted this as I pondered.  There is so much to unearth about seeking brightness and how it can ease our burdens.  I hope you can feel some of that hope when you look at this piece.
